Take a breath.

We provide individual therapy to youth 12+ and adults. All of our staff are LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcoming. Therapy is a safe, confidential space to work through unhelpful thinking patterns, build self-confidence, develop healthier relationships, and develop behaviors that help you live your fullest life. Combined, all of this is likely to improve your mood.

In your first meeting with your provider, you will get to know each other through questions that help your provider to better understand what is bringing you into therapy. From there, you and your provider will work together to create a treatment plan individualized to you, your needs, and your strengths.

How we do it.

The primary ways we treat PTSD, anxiety, and depression are through CBT, DBT, and EMDR. These are primarily talk therapies, although EMDR also includes some somatic healing. With youth and interested adults, we may also include journaling, art, books, games, activities, and sometimes even video games.

How long a course of treatment will take differs for every person and is hard to predict. Our clients receive an individualized treatment plan, not a canned prescription for a certain number of sessions. On average, our clients can expect at least a year of therapy. However, many clients with trauma are in therapy for longer than this while still making progress. Clients without significant trauma generally benefit from a shorter course of treatment with one of our trained interns.
