(Loyola University)

Lauren is a Master of Social Work student at Loyola University Chicago, where she is completing the Advanced Clinical Practice track. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. Lauren previously served as an intern at a community mental health organization in Chicago, where she supported adults navigating serious mental illness and substance use challenges. She also has experience as an ABA therapist working with young children on the autism spectrum, along with a background in early childhood education. Across these roles, Lauren has worked with individuals at many different stages of life, which has shaped her passion for trauma-informed care and the importance of safe, supportive relationships in the healing process.

Lauren approaches therapy from a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered perspective. She values creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing process. Lauren believes in meeting clients where they are, building strong therapeutic relationships, and supporting individuals in developing insight, coping skills, and resilience. She is especially interested in the role of attachment, relationships, and systems in shaping mental health and well-being.

Lauren works with children, adolescents, and adults, and has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, and identity development. She is passionate about working with diverse populations and is committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming, inclusive care that honors each client’s unique identity and lived experience.

Lauren integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as trauma-informed modalities such as Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and Trauma Systems Therapy (TST). She also incorporates elements of psychodynamic and client-centered therapy into her work.

Lauren currently lives in Chicago, Illinois. Outside of her professional work, Lauren enjoys the beach, live music, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family. She values connection, balance, and self-care, and brings these values into both her personal life and her work with clients.
