Our Internship Programs
What internships do you offer?
We proudly offer internships for concentration and foundation year MSW students as well as counseling students.
At this time, we do not have an LMFT on staff and are therefore unable to offer MFT internships unless you are able to provide external supervision.
When can I start?
We start all students on the same day each semester. Students must commit to at least two consecutive semesters. Start dates usually include around the beginning of January, the middle of May, and the end of August.
Why choose The Patterson Center for Resiliency?
Our students grow and thrive in our competitive, highly rated internship program for early clinical professionals interested in trauma and attachment disorders in children and adults. Additionally, we offer opportunity for budding macro social workers to develop skills around advocacy, program development, research, and case management.
Our internships are offered hybrid in Colorado Springs to give emerging clinicians a cutting edge towards the growing market of telehealth.
We offer robust training, supervision, and client experiences with opportunity for hire after graduation. Our past interns report that they feel ready to be an entry-level clinician after completing our program.
How many students are in your internship program?
Each cohort is typically 3-5 students. Summer cohorts tend to be smaller. Our program fills quickly, with August being our most competitive season and spots often filling by March. We typically accept about 1/3 of applicants to our program.
