Lauren brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work and is deeply committed to helping clients feel safe, understood, and supported. Her background working with individuals and families in high stress and complex systems allows her to remain calm, attuned, and nonjudgmental, even in difficult situations. She is especially passionate about helping people process challenging experiences and reconnect with their strengths, identity, and sense of direction.
Her experience includes working with individuals impacted by trauma, involvement in child welfare, and roles in hospital, justice, and community based settings. She has supported youth and families navigating complex needs through case management and wraparound services, and has experience in emergency department settings providing support during moments of crisis.
Lauren is currently completing her Master of Social Work at Indiana University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with minors in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University.
Lauren’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, trauma informed, and strengths based. She creates a space where clients feel heard and respected while exploring present challenges and the deeper patterns connected to their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Lauren integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, TST, motivational interviewing, case management, mindfulness, solution focused strategies, and client-centered approaches, tailoring her approach to each client’s needs. She balances reflection with practical tools, helping clients build resilience, increase self awareness, and create meaningful change. Her style is warm, honest, and direct, offering both support and gentle challenge.
Lauren works with children (7+), adolescents, and adults. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and life changes. She is skilled at meeting clients where they are while helping them move forward in a way that feels manageable and empowering.
Outside of her work, Lauren enjoys reading and continuing to learn, especially about mental health and trauma. She values time with her family, including her husband, children, and dogs. She enjoys outdoor activities such as kayaking and gardening, as well as creative hobbies like crafts and making stickers. She also loves exploring new places and finding great coffee shops.
