Laura spent nearly two decades working in the corporate world before following her passion and pivoting into mental health. She earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University, then completed a master’s in Adolescent Education and English at Hunter College. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s of Social Work at Rutgers University. Over the past year, Laura has provided mental health counseling to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression and PTSD, as well as substance use disorders. She brings both real-world experience and academic training into her therapeutic work.

Laura’s therapeutic style is grounded in a strengths-based approach, rooted in her belief that every person has inherent strengths and the capacity to grow. She also draws on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) tools to help clients identify, understand, and reframe unhelpful thinking patterns. Laura also has a strong interest in the mind-body connection, integrating awareness of how physical and emotional experiences interact to support clients’ overall wellbeing. Her background, including her own life transitions, inform her collaborative and compassionate approach. She seeks to empower clients to build on their existing resources while cultivating new coping strategies.

Laura offers virtual therapy services for clients of all ages. She specializes in working with people who are navigating anxiety, mood challenges, and trauma. In her practice, she uses evidence-based modalities such as DBT, MI, TST, and CBT, tailoring interventions to her clients’ goals and needs. She is committed to meeting people where they are and building a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust, respect, and collaboration. Laura is LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive.

Laura is a native New Yorker who now lives in New Jersey. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her family and finds balance through travel, reading, and running.
