Ellie Arnold

MSW

Ellie received her undergraduate degree in Commercial Photography from Appalachian State University. She has always had a strong passion for mental health and understanding people's experiences. She believes that human connection shapes so much of our lives, including both our struggles and our healing. Following that passion and wanting to better understand and support others through life's challenges, Ellie went on to earn her Master of Social Work from Valdosta State University.

Ellie works with children, young adults, and adults, and has experience in substance use, inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment, and hospice care. She has supported people through a wide range of experiences, including grief, life transitions, recovery, emotional distress, trauma, depression, and anxiety. She draws from a variety of approaches, including CBT, DBT, TST, TF-CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques, person-centered therapy, and trauma-informed care. She takes a strengths-based approach, focusing on what is already working in a client’s life while helping them build new skills. She tailors her interventions to meet each client’s individual needs, recognizing that no two people or their experiences are the same.

Ellie values creating a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to tell their stories. She aims to build a strong relationship with her clients, grounded in authenticity. Ellie believes that when clients feel genuinely accepted, it becomes easier to be honest, open up, and work through difficult experiences. She also believes that feeling heard, understood, and accepted without judgment is the foundation for meaningful change. Ellie meets clients where they are, recognizing that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, and strives to make the process feel as supportive as possible. She is LGBTQIA+ affirming and is committed to providing inclusive, respectful care for clients of all identities and backgrounds.

Ellie recently moved to Colorado after years of dreaming of calling it home, and has loved exploring her new surroundings. Outside of work, her favorite thing to do is spend time with her dog. She can often be found with a caffeinated beverage in her hand, finding new trails to hike on, or on a long run.
