Alexandra or “Ally” was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and completed her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology with a focus in neuroscience. Driven by her love for the mountains and the great outdoors, she relocated to Colorado where she currently resides and is currently working on her Masters of Social Work degree through Arizona State University.
In her professional journey, Ally has demonstrated compassion in working with vulnerable populations. In previous work, Ally has focused on supporting incarcerated teens with trauma. She played a pivotal role in their transition out of a facility by teaching crucial life skills and providing crisis intervention. Additionally, she has experience working with Veterans and their families experiencing homelessness to navigate difficult government systems and secure permanent housing.
Ally is committed to working with clients using a strengths-based approach to address trauma and foster self-sufficiency. With a firm belief in the power of resilience and personal strengths, Ally strives to create a welcoming and safe therapeutic environment. Her dedication to using a strengths-based perspective reflects a commitment to uplifting individuals and promoting positive change. Ally is trained in client-centered approaches, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and TST. She provides individual, family, and group therapy or supportive skill-building to youth and adults ages 12+.
In her free time, Ally loves to crochet, taking her 60lb dog, Kinley, on long hikes, rock climbing, skiing and her goal is to one day summit all 14ers in Colorado.
